Ajay Singh (Jay) arrives at Clarendon Law Solicitors from the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, where he was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Bar Practice by King’s College London. Jay was called to the Bar of England and Wales in October 2025 during the Deferred Trinity Term.

Jay holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours Degree from the University of Nottingham. Jay was the Champion of the University’s Second-and-Third-Year’s Moot Cup (2022) and successfully represented his University at the Property Bar Association’s National Moot (2023), finishing as the Top University Team. As Secretary-General of the University’s Mooting Society, Jay founded the Midlands Civil Moot Cup, now in its third-running year.

Jay brings useful procedural experience from his previous work at the Royal Courts of Justice in London where he assisted Judges with drafting and sealing Orders and Judgments in all civil matters. In like vein, Jay brings useful experience in a variety of civil work, from previous internships at international and national law firms. Jay previously served in the Singapore Armed Forces and holds the rank of Second-Lieutenant (NS).
Outside of work, Jay enjoys competitive shooting, travelling, hiking & attending the theatre.
